I made this list for movie addicts like me who love solving puzzles and mysteries, playing detective, and predicting how the story will go. If you are one of the people who watch movies with depth, you might want to check these out.

Shawshank Redemption (1994)


Andy Dufresne is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murder of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. However, only Andy knows he didn't commit the crime. While in the prison, he forms a friendship with Red, experiences brutality of prison life, adapts, helps the warden, etc., all in 19 years.

The Usual Suspects (1995)


Five criminals plot against the police after being called in for a crime they didn't commit. Later onto the movie they begin to uncover a larger plot from the legendary criminal named Keyzer Soze. The question is, "Who is Keyzer Soze?"

Primal Fear (1996)



Defense Attorney Martin Vail's client, altar boy Aaron Stamper, has been charged with the murder of the archbishop. Was it really Aaron who committed the crime?

Fight Club (1999)



The narrator and Tyler Durden begin a "Fight Club"which later on became a national movement. The end of the movie will mindfuck you so you might want to watch it a couple of times to get the real twist.



Sixth Sense (1999)




Dr. Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist, returns to work by attempting to help a young boy who sees the dead.



Memento (2000) 




Leonard Shelby suffers from anterogade amnesia following a murder of his wife. Now, he searches for the murderer with clues he leaves himself in the form of tattoos, notes and photographs. Will he be able to figure out who the murderer is?


Saw (2004)




We all know this one. Jigsaw, a game master, gathers people and gives them tasks they need to complete for survival. You need to watch all of the sequels to figure out what the real twist is.


Hide and Seek (2005)



Following the suicide of his wife, psychologist David Callaway decides to take his daughter, Emily away from New York City to a house in the country for a fresh start. Unfortunately, Emily hasn't made any friends aside from Charlie, who is imaginary. That is when things get worse.

Silent Hill (2006)



Is there any person who haven't watched Silent Hill? The film follows Rose, who takes her adopted daughter Sharon to the town of Silent Hill, for which Sharon cries while sleepwalking. Arriving at Silent Hill, Rose is involved in a car accident and awakens to find Sharon missing; while searching for her daughter, she fights a local cult while uncovering Sharon's connection to the town's past.


The Prestige (2006)




Robert Angier and Alfred Borden are magicians who are rivals. They always sabotage one another's perfomance for the sole purpose of creating the perfect illusion.


Wanted (2008)



The story revolves around Wesley Gibson who was recruited by Fox into the Fraternity, a secret society of assassins. Later on Wesley begins to suspect that there is more to the Fraternity than meets the eye.

Exam (2009)



Eight candidates were given an exam in order to secure a job with a prestigious company. Stuck inside a room with no clue what the real question is for their final test, the 8 candidates struggle their way to find it out. Who will make it until the end?

Orphan (2009)




Esther, who is an orphan, is adopted by a young couple. Later on, strange things start to happen in their household.



Shutter Island (2010)




Detective Teddy Daniels attempts to track down escaped mental patient, Rachel Solando, who is responsible for the murder of her three children.



Inception (2010)

The story revolves around Jane and a temporal agent who happened to have met in a bar and had a nice chat. They traveled through time to seek for their purpose in life and to get back what had been lost. Now, on the temporal agent's final assignment, he must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time who is known as Fizzle Bomber. Who is behind that mask? And what role does Jane partake in his story?

The Boy (2016)







Greta is a young woman who takes the job as a nanny to the only child of an old couple. She has been given a list of things "to do and not to do" to the boy, who is actually a doll.





The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)




When father and son coroners investigate the death of a beautiful corpse "Jane Doe," they find increasingly bizarre clues as to why her body seems perfect and unscathed after multiple deaths.
