People always say that things are meant to happen. How do you know if it's meant to happen? When you're lonely? When you've tried your hardest but nothing changed, then it's meant to be? Or maybe it is just an excuse people make for giving up?
They say things happen for a reason. Bad things happen to make way for better things. But when will you know that better things are on their way? How are you sure that it's for the better? What if it comes but still makes you suffer and fall apart? Are you still going to say that it's meant to be that way?
Maybe things happen because we don't do anything about it. We're too lazy to fix things because we're not sure if it's worth it. We're not sure if it will be okay again. We're not sure if our efforts will go to waste or not. It's just too hard for us to hold on to this slightest possibility that barely exists. One reason might be is that we did it once or twice or several times but nothing changed. So we just stick to this rule that says, "If you can't change, accept." Let's be honest. It's not easy. It's not easy to just let go of everything, and accept this new life you have, new thoughts to keep you up at night, new songs to cry about, new people to disgust, and new you. But at the end of the day, it's still going to be your choice. Only you can decide if you're going to keep saying things are supposed to be that way and that you're going to keep going along with it or if you will change, and find what really makes you happy.
Remember that it's your choices that determine your path in life. Don't blame fate. Don't blame the universe and its existence. Things happen the way you make it happen.
